Duration: 11 D / 10 N

Destinations: Delhi - Kaziranga National Park - Darjeeling - Delhi (Optional addition: Nepal or Bhutan 5 day supplements to be asked for separately. Details for Nepal can be found in TF -1)

After the introductory stay in Delhi, fly to Guhawati and drive on to Kaziranga National Park, a World Heritage Site. Join a river cruise along the Brahmaputra River to visit Kaziranga National Park and (hopefully) see the Asian one horned Rhino. Further to the north the Himalayan foothills are perfect for trekking. One of the key areas is Darjeeling, where you can stay in a lodge surrounded by rolling tea plantations and spectacular views of the Himalayas. Take a tea tour on the sprawling estate, and participate in a tea tasting session. Continue on to Nepal or Bhutan, or head back to Delhi to take a return flight home.

Itinerary Highlights:

Day 01: Arrive in Delhi and check into your preferred hotel.

Day 02 : Take a private sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, and a rickshaw ride through the markets at Old Delhi. Overnight at Delhi.

Day 03: Fly to Guhawati, and drive on to Kaziranga National Park. Check into your preferred jungle lodge. Day

04: Day at leisure - trekking tours, wildlife safaris. Take a river cruise on the magnificent Brahmaputra river. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Day at leisure - trekking tours, wildlife or village safaris to tribal villages. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Drive back to Guhawati for a connecting flight to Bagdogra. Drive on to Darjeeling

Day 07: Day at leisure

Day 08: Day at leisure

Day 09: Day at leisure in Lap of Nature

Day 10: Drive to Bagdogra and fly to Delhi (or continue to Paro, Bhutan)

Day 11: Departure

Optional Bhutan tour:

Duration : 04 N / 05 D

Destinations: Thimphu - Punakha - Paro

Day 10: Bagdogra / Paro / Thimphu : Fly from Bagdogra to Paro, and proceed to Thimphu . Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 11: Take a private tour of Thimphu, the capital city of the kingdom of Bhutan. Visit the interesting Institute of Traditional Medicine, and buy a painting or just browse through some techniques at the School of traditional Art & Craft. Overnight at Thimphu

Day 12 : After breakfast, drive to Punakha. Take a walking tour of the quaint town, meander through the local markets. Overnight at Punakha.

Day 13 : Drive back to Paro, the historical capital of Bhutan - a most interesting place to find Bhutanese weavers at their jobs, a great cup of hot tea brewed fresh, and the most astounding valley views. Overnight at Paro.

Day 14 : Departure to connecting flight home.

Inclusions

- Hotel / Rooms Category as per specified or similar. The hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one double room with private facilities and daily American buffet breakfast (Some may include further meals)

- Private touring with your own personal guides, air conditioned vehicle (sedan, SUV or Tempo) with Chauffeur

- Entrance fees at all monuments / parks mentioned in the itinerary

- Child above 2 years and below 11 years without extra bed, breakfast cost to be settled directly by the guest
